Suncoast’s JFCS has named John Frizzell as its new chief financial officer and Keith Leahey as its new chief behavioral health services officer.
Frizzell will recommend results-oriented administrative and tax strategies and oversee risk management operations and staff in the finance and information technology departments. He has over 20 years of finance experience at the management and executive levels, primarily in higher education and not-for-profit organizations.
Frizzell received a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University in Chicago and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Leahey will oversee and further develop JFCS’s counseling and mental health department, aging services, and Jewish healing program. He will also be responsible for JFCS’ community mental health services, including the Youth Diversion and Assistance Program, Camp Mariposa, and the Voluntary Internship-Enhanced Recovery Program.
Leahey comes to JFCS with decades of leadership experience in the mental health and nonprofit fields, including 16 years leading the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier in Binghamton, New York, as as CEO.
Leahey earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Brockport College, State University of New York and a master’s degree in social work from Marywood University in Pennsylvania.
