Nonprofit health and dental organizations team up to expand health services

Community Dental Care will change its name and merge under the same management and title of Prism Health North Texas.

The non-profit dental association has a office in Vickery Meadow and other locations in East Dallas and Farmers Branch. All locations will undergo the name change to Prism Health North Texas and offer more dental and health care services.

Prism Health says its mission is to create access to affordable health care for people living in the greater Dallas area by integrating dental and medical care into one community health organization, according to a press release.

“The CDC has an incredible legacy of providing critical dental care to so many people here in Dallas,” PHNTX CEO Dr. John Carlo said in the release. “We look forward to continuing this important work and together building an even greater safety net for health services.”

Community Dental Care is the largest nonprofit provider of quality, routine and preventative dental care and dental health education for low-income people in Texas.

Vickery Meadow’s current office in 8224 Park Alley #125 and other locations will remain where they are after this merger and change in direction.
