Pimples - Symptoms and Treatment

Pimples is a term that's used to describe whiteheads, blackheads, and acne. Pimples is a skin condition that causes spots. Most teenagers get the type of acne called acne vulgaris, which can show up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. Most people affected by acne are aged between 12 and 25. Skin pores contain oil glands which naturally lubricate your skin and hair. A pimple happens when dead skin and bacteria work their way under live skin. Whiteheads happen when a pore gets clogged, closes, and then bulges out. Although many people suffer from this condition only during the teenage years, pimples can occur throughout adulthood, depending on your hormonal activity, heredity and hygiene. Acne is actually caused because of hormone imbalance. Testosterone tells glands in your skin, called sebaceous glands, to produce oily stuff called sebum. In fact, did you know that in order to make testosterone, boys bodies have to make female hormones first. If you have acne, you haven't got abnormal levels of testosterone. In both cases the inflammations certainly decrease, but they usually come back fast in youths after finished course of treatment. The emergance of acne has its reasons in the production of tallow in the skin on one hand, but also due to the fact that the openings of the surface of the skin of the sebaceous glands is stopped up, usually by horn cells (skin cells).

Pimples affects 80% of the population at some time between the age of 12 and 44, making it the most commonly treated skin condition. Pimples (pustules or whiteheads) are small blisters filled with pus. Most acne cases are in the mild to moderate range, but severe acne can cause serious cosmetic problems, which often leads to emotional stress and low self-esteem. Bacteria then begins to multiply and the area becomes inflamed producing pimples, blackheads and whiteheads on the face and upper body. Acne or pimples is a disorder that causes your skin to inflame due to changes in the sebaceous or oil glands found on your skin and hair follicles. It usually occurs on the face, neck, shoulders, back and chest, but eruption of acne all over the body is not unusual. pimple is a type of skin lesion that is caused by inflamed and/or obstructed pores. The most common cause of pimples is acne . Pimples are a very mild skin infection and never leave scars.
