Tuberculosis Home Remedies - Get Rid of Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is one of the most dreaded disease and is again raising its ugly head globally. Along with AIDS. it is adopting a more dangerous form that is resistant to conventional treatment. Tuberculosis can occur in any part of the body but lungs are the most common site. which are affected and stomach is most resistant to its attack. Besides pulmonary tuberculosis. this disease can appear in a hundred different forms. It often remains latent and can well be called as a camouflaged killer. Over one-third of the world's population now has the TB bacterium in their bodies and new infections are occurring at a rate of one per second. Not everyone who is infected develops the disease and asymptomatic latent TB infection is most common. Someone who is infected with TB has the TB germs, or bacteria, in their body. The disease is more common in areas of the world where poverty, malnutrition, poor general health and social disruption are present. But TB is making a comeback in the United States today - particularly among the homeless, those in prison, and those rendered susceptible because of HIV infection . Because tuberculosis has existed in Europe longer than anywhere else, people of European descent are somewhat more resistant to the disease than people whose ancestors lived in parts of the world where tuberculosis was introduced more recently. With proper care, however, most cases of TB can be treated, even those resistant to the drugs commonly used against the disease. Unfortunately, the world's poor those most likely to have TB are also the least likely to receive adequate medical care.

Tuberculosis (often called TB) is an infectious disease that usually attacks the lungs, but can attack almost any part of the body. Experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) predict these numbers will escalate in coming decades. Approximately 2 billion people one-third of the human population are currently infected with TB, with one new infection occurring every second. In the UK, too, the number of TB cases is again rising. Alcoholics , HIV-positive individuals, some recent immigrants and healthcare workers are at increased risk. Worldwide, there are 8 million new cases of symptomatic tuberculosis and 3 million deaths from the disease every year. It is believed that one third of all the people in the world have a dormant (latent) tuberculosis infection, although only about 5 to 10% progress to active tuberculosis disease. Streptomycin, the first antibiotic to fight TB, was introduced in 1946, and isoniazid (Laniazid, Nydrazid) became available in 1952. TB cases have increased since 1985, most likely due to the increase in HIV. Common symptoms are cough that is worse in the morning and may include hemoptysis (i.e., blood in the sputum), chest pain, night sweats, and breathlessness (dyspnea). Ninety percent of those infected with M. tuberculosis mount an effective immune response and never develop the disease.
